When I first got to China, I met all these women who would get yearly photos done of themselves in those studios--To commemorate their young beauty.
When I married my husband (Chinese), we did those photos. The turned out so beautifully, and it was so fun, that I wanted to do it again after I'd had my first baby and lost all that baby weight. I felt I was young, and still lookin' good, that I wanted to also be incredibly vain (as I had thought those women to be) and do personal photos myself.
Have you ever done them? What was your opinion of them? If you have never done them, what do you think, anyway?
I haven't myself but I'd just like to comment on how good some of the photos end up looking - I have a Chinese friend here in Beijing and it's amazing how unrecognisable he is compared to his photos - they made him look like a movie star or something.
I did them with my wife when we first moved to China. It was a lot of fun for her and that was good enough for me. Anything that makes my wife smile is always worthwhile in my book.
And yes, the pictures made her look gorgeous.
We get a set done of our daughter each year around her birthday, it's dirt cheap, great fun and I can use them to embarrass her when she brings her first date home in the future.

We did them for our daughter when she turned one, too. In the States if you want creative pictures done with a talented photographer, they can be anywhere from $300-$500. Otherwise, you're stuck with Walmart or Sears photos. Ugly things. I love how great the Chinese studios are!
Yup. Did it in Sanya last year. The pictures turned out great, wife looks stunning and the photographer offered to photoshop more hair onto me.
Mental note. Never put yourself in a situation again where you have to wear a suit on a white sandy beach in sunshine and 40C.
Yep...about to get married, this summer.

You'll need white socks!
That alone caused our first argument as I adamantly refused to wear white socks and at the time she didn't have the English to explain I would have to wear a white suit as part of the set and socks weren't supplied.
Thanx...I knew hehe. We already did the ones inside...Have to do the outdoors ones in 2 weeks....Why don't you guys post some of those here?
Hugh.G.Rection:
Because if I posted pics of my wife online I would either become a bachelor or a eunuch................ or both!
