Q: Have you ever had any trouble with your metro card?

I know it's happened to me several times. The card won't work sometimes and you always have to go get it scanned by the metro security people. Anybody know the reason behind this? It's been happening to my card a lot lately. The card does not look worn out and I have no trouble adding value to the card.

Are you sure that you stick it where it belongs? Get a new one.

I actually "broke" 3 cards, then stopped using them. It's probably because you stuck it next to another card, which then demagnetized it.
