I was at an english center the other day and I noticed they had an AP government book (US govt). I was trying to search around if they carried anything from another country besides the states and to no avail they didn't. Is it because more people are immigrating to the U.S. then any other country?

nope. a lot use books from Cambridge University Press
All the training centers I've frequented use British English books and a few AP books.
AP books cover material for Advanced Placement subject tests in United States universities.
What's your point?

Wait, wait, wait, nobody else here teaches New Concepts!? That book is first, British as the queen and scotch eggs, and second as ubiquitous as the white board. And it spans generations, my wife, her mother and her neice have all used at least two of those damn books.
