and do you think it's legit or rigged...do they have tv shows announcing the winners like in other countries?

I have, a couple times, when I've had 2 kuai burning a hole in my pocket.  They have a lottery show on tv, every night I think.  Is it rigged?  Aren't they all?  Just another way to tax the poor.

If you did win something, could a foreigner claim the money?

I do play the Chinese welfare lottery, and do win small amounts most of the times.  The most I have won is about 400 yuan once, but regularly is 25 or 50 Yuan.  The old lady at the place I make my bets says someday I will win big because I almost win something each time I play.

On this one you select numbers from 1 thru 33, and they are called red balls.  Then you select one number from 1 thru 16 as the "blue ball".  To me it is very easy to select the correct blue ball, and always guess correctly from 1 to 4 of the red balls.

I have no proof if rigged or not, and I do it for fun.  Never bet over 10 Yuan at one time.

I have on my laptop a historyof winning numbers, and do a statistical analysis to select the numbers to play.  I do it as a mental challenge and to have fun.

And never have had a problem collecting any price I have won.

On big prizes the Government keeps 20 % of the winning money.

Yes, I've played the lottery in China.

It's also known as crossing the road.

Nope. Don't want to have the argument about how unlikely my usual lotto numbers are

e.g. 1,2,3,4,5,6.

I didn't know they had one. What is the usual average maximum pay out? Is it like the Euro version that's like 100,000 Euros? Imagine the whole country played every week with 1 kuai and the weekly prize was 1 Billion kuai.

or more kuais in the pocket of someone running the lottery.
