Q: Have you ever sat through a Chinese opera from start to finish?

I sat through a mini-version that last about 2 hours once. Never even considered trying to sit through a hardcore 4 hour one. I just don't like them. Perhaps I just don't get them (probably) but to me it just sounds like a whole lot of noise and very annoying sounds.

I have problems coping with old people playing traditional Chinese music (TCM) on their geriatric boom boxes, when I pass them in the park or meet them in the lift

Would you hurt Non-natives, too?  Sorry, my English 'pronunciation'. Can't do 'smiley', while am editing, butt…I need O2, again.

I shared house in Florida with two brothers from Glasgow ten years ago. They were both Celtic fans. I don't want to turn this into 'politics', but I'm sure you understand my 'favourite team' underline. Older brother had friend from UK, who was manager/owner of English pub in the same city. Three of us went for 'visit' to Brit in the pub. Older brother wore Argentinian national T-shirt with big letters 'Argentina', and flag in the front. LOL. They were dear friends, Brit & 'Celtic fan'. Now, 'my introduction' to Brit manager: Older brother: "This is ….'my name'…., he is from ….'my country of origin' Republican Army ……...

While finding the sound comparible to someone killing a cat slowly (apologies animal lovers), i can appreciate the vocal range some of the singers have - much wider than that of a more familiar opera singer.

Best I've ever managed is 90min, and that was only because I was stuck in the middle of an aisle and couldn't escape.
