Back then home in my country, I was the only one in my family to eat green chillies with my meals, I used to take a handful of green hot hot chillies we called 'fire crackers' to accompany my food. Once I had a small round purple chilli so powerful that only a bite of it brought tears to my eyes, I heard my ears pounding, sweat pouring down my forehead, and my mouth kind of anesthesized.
Here in China I have never really encountered the kind of hot chillies that could make me sweat ..... I suppose there must be some somewhere and I am still looking.
How hot is hot. I have to take the red chillies out of my food now or cough and cry, but I don't find them hot. I have never had any that make me sweat, never seen halopino peppers either in China.
In China there is a tiny white pepper, unfortunately I never learned the name. That thing is rated as one of the top 3-5 chillies in the world as far as heat goes.
