Q: Have you heard of any get rich quick schemes in China?

Doesn't matter what it's related to. Has anybody ever approached you about one or have you seen one around?

Yes, I heard this one where you can write a million posts on forums like this and make yourself 500K rmb. Sadly, the advertisement said it was for Chinese nationals only.

Yes, find yourself a job as a Government official.  Lousy salary, but great benefits besides the regular ones.

I know one who makes 8,000 Rmb per month. But in less than 10 years in the position, he already owns 13 apartments, a stable full of fancy cars, and just boasted he bought two more, paid cash for them, at 2.5 and 3 million Rmb each.

somehow I find that a little misleading ...  my best friend (only English speaking/Chinese friend) ..he has a masters in Economics from University of Alberta in Canada ( 6 years)

He works for the Chinese government....  he's a tax enforcer kind of guy..he has a home, he just bought it a year ago  in Tianhe  .....he's about 35 ( wife is in the shower, so guessing) his wife is 33 and they have a less than year old daughter..... ( I am proud to be Uncle)   ......he just des not participate in any dealings that are "wrong"   .. educated and just  a good man, in my humble opinion...................  of course when i ASK /QUESTION  him about his co-workers .... rather not discuss it most of the time... I do collect  receipts for him...  10rmb here and there ... big deal

salary  ...guessing he makes about 10,000, maybe 12,000/mo  plus  wife when she isn't knocked up 5,000.

Actually Silva, too many Chinese have wanted to open an Educational Agency to send Chinese students abroad, promising to make me rich, so I investigate, I make good money already, so I'm not just jumping in, it was and is complete BS. Not really a scam, but Chinese love thinking if they have a Western Friend than they can make money off their face, funny. Question, why does everyone knock on Silva, I took a holiday from this site but he or she surely cannot be Mattaya, his grammar was p*ss poor, am I missing something other than the fact he writes like a living Spongebob
