Q: Have you heard of others getting around 2-years relevant work experience requirement

Have you heard of others getting around 2-years relevant work experience requirement for getting a work visa from Beijing?

I have been told multiple times now that foreigners are now required to have 2 years professional experience in their home country after graduation from college in order to be eligible for a work visa in China.

*This is for editing, not teaching.* (and other non-teaching positions)

I personally have over 2 years relevant experience, but because not all of it was after my graduation from college they didn't accept it. I think this is also a technicality that is enforced more aggressively in Beijing. What is your experience?

I'm sure you can put down experiences while you were in college or before. Work experience! I was in the military before I ever went to college so that right there is at least a couple of years worth of work experience. Plus you can put down you were a volunteer if you ever were and that could also be work experience

Well the technicality was that it had to be after college graduation to count for being in a company according to the visa agent. I graduated in 2011, so irrespective of having well over 2 year in total, I haven't been out of college for over 2 years yet.
