Q: Have you lost or gained weight since coming to China?

I've stayed the same! What about you?

It's more of a question of; have you changed your lifestyle and eating habits since coming to China?

China is not the cause of weight gain/loss, YOU ARE!

Didn't think it was possible since I'm already skinny but I've lost weight. I eat much smaller portions than back home, much much smaller.  And quite a bit healthier for the most part.

I think the biggest difference for me though is the fact that I have to walk/bike long quite a bit every single day just to get around. In my home country I'd drive even to a grocery store just two blocks away.

On the flip side, a few Chinese people I know who have moved to America have gained quite a bit of weight when they came back for holidays.

I gained weight in China because I eat healthier when I cook my own food. I have since lost the weight without issue back home.

I have lost a lot of weight since arriving here. The food is too bland to enjoy sometimes and so I eat less. When I got here, I was 93.5 kg Now I am 83 kg. This is of course my own doing I suppose. I know how to cook, but sometimes after a long day... All I want to do is sit back and unwind and tend not think of food.

I lose weight in China because I can eat what and as much as I want. At home I gain weight because the food has more fat and I have many obligatory restaurant meals with friends and family.

I easily lose ten pounds in China. That's one of the reasons I like China.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
