Q: Have you noticed that Chinese cough as a way to make you stand further away from them?

We've all seen Chinese cough open mouthed in public places without covering. That's the society. But have you noticed that Chinese cough as a way to get you to move away? Get on an elevator and the auntie on it will immediately cough once you get on. Get on a subway car and people will immediately cough, but then will never cough again.

And, it works.

When many Chinese breathe, I move away. I often wonder if they eat sh*t to get that bad. I have never smelled breathe like that any where else.

Hu, what ? Never noticed people coughing on me *on purpose*. Sure, putting the hand (or better, the elbow) in from of the mouth is not quite yet an habit.

I haven't noticed that, but there sure is a lot of coughing going around.

Yesterday I was trying to buy some meat, The guy in the meat section coughed violently straight at all the "fresh" meat. That made me not stand near him, in fact it made me not buy meat there. Is this what you're asking ?

No, but I have noticed how they like to crowd as close to me in line as they can before coughing phlegm all over the back of my neck.
