Typically you pay once per year. When you need your insurance you will usually need to fork out money yourself, e.g. if you go to the emergency room. Then the next day call your insurer and they will take care of any expenses from there and reimburse you for your initial expenses. 

do you know an approximate price? is it like 10000 per month or 1000 etc. I checked a comparing website yesterday and there was mentioned for inpatient only it is like 60 euro per month with axa, actually I cannot believe this price (would be way too cheap?)

Affordable Health Care? On the other hand if you make less than $25,000 a year your health Care is free. So it pays not to make too much because it will all go in Obama Care.
