One reason for not getting replies out of Chinese employers is Chinese don't reply with polite note "Thank you for your application! Position has been filled already." same as western employers usually do.

Once Chinese employer see they are unable to place you at the advertised position for this or that reason, they just move onto next one.

Politeness is an English language treat ...

You should act the same, i.e. never stop sending your CV until you don't land an invitation for the interview ... and never mind, you applied at brazillion position.

Once, you'll sign the contract with the first employer, it's very easy to cancel or disregard all further coming ones.

Good luck!

no reason.

just wondering if you applied for English teaching positions.
If your answer to this is yes, you applied for English language teaching positions, your 'question' has given the answer already.

Perhaps you aren't as special as your mum said or your application was lower than their requirements or they expected problems with your visa. Who could possibly know why? You didn't get that one. Move on, try another.

This is quite normal. Chinese companies generally won't respond to an applicant if they don't intend to hire or interview you. I guess that's just western politeness.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
