Q: Hey...the footy season is upon us. Rejoice one and all!

Hallelujah!!  The long months of limbo are finally behind us and now it's all happening!

Are you excited?

Half time now in the Suns/Tigers game and it's a ding dong go!

Carn the Tiges!

Do you think the Chinese will ever cotton on to real sport?

I GOOG 'Suns', and now I know what means 'footy season'. 'My nativity is non-English'.

I'm not fan of US football or soccer. I like to see goals on the evening news, but that's it. I can't stand and watch the game for 90', or wear dress of my 'favorite' team.

In FT. Lauderdale, we were always in the pub for Celtic's game, and all fans were dressed in the team's dresses watching the game on the teli, screaming 'Larsson' or 'Henrik'.

I usually had one Q: 'Why they only have one ball?' (serious voice and concerned face)

A: 'HUH'?

Why they all run after one ball? Shouldn't they give each player his own ball?'angel

They (are) were all my dear friends, so I didn't get hurt!

At US football, my Q is more English based: ' Why they call game football, and then they carry ball in the hands for the entire play?'

A: 'They kick it, too! Sometimes!'surprise

Ahhh....Icni....you've done it again....

More info for you....Gold Coast Suns V  Richmond Tigers.

And it finished badly.

I am with you on gridiron...what the hell is that game all about!

And soccer....90 minutes..nil nil...bloody hell.  Who needs a valium when all ya gotta do is tune into a game of soccer.

It's similar game as 'hokey on grass', quite popular in US among college students.

They do more stuff on 'clubs', 'dresses' and 'emblems', than real competition and  tournaments, I think.

Players wear same gear as in hokey, but sneakers and ball smaller than tennis ball. They run with the hockey stick in the hand. Bottom (hitting) part of their hockey stick is less than 10 cm long.

But, they (girls team) were all upset while playing, and all things that go with any sport game. Screaming, pushing, and so on.

I forgot the name again, but Chinese have female team in Nanjing.
