Are you talking about professional teams?  If so, the answer is no.

If you are just talking about amature league stuff, then yes but speaking Mandarin would make it much easier.

However, depending on your city, there are lots of foreigner/local soccer leagues you can join in on.

Not as difficult, as impossible to join a Chinese soccer(foot)ball team OUT of China. Just join a team here and start to make winning goals and not own goals.enlightened

It would be difficult if the team already has a full team. Like most universities or colleges or professional teams they only hold a certain amount of players. Unless you could prove to them that you are much better than their players, they would not have a spot for you on their roster and you would not be able to join their team. If you are talking about a non-professional team just for fun those would be easy to join. It is the professional teams that would be difficult because of the amount of players they can have per team per roster.

If you can get them into the World Cup - damn right you can!!! Tongue

(professional teams - almost never! Although the men's Chinese national team isn't that good, their players aren't really that bad - and the teams are getting a lot of international players anyway - those who have played in professional leagues in top clubs around the world - particularly England and Europe... if you're not in that league, then you're not going to be playing for one here.

If you're only talking about joining a small club, then no great problem!! Language will be a problem, until you start scoring goals.
