Q: Is the HK problem over - at least for now?
No, mainlanders are still flocking to HK to buy up all the baby formula.
If you are asking about the legal protests, then that is still in progress

My ex-wife was able to breastfeed our third and fourth daughters until they were two. Now, that's a triumph!
Just sayin'.
HK lost $50 milloin US dollars in the market due to this, so if its not over, it will be soon if the Chinese army will roll into town. What, your shaking your head saying: What about the agreement? Well do you or anyone with an educated mind think that England or the U.S will do anything to stop the Chinese Army from rolling into HK to bring law and order back to the city and streets? No way, The U.S and England have too much to lose and they are riding China's butt. We'll lose a lot more if our western countries interfere. So just let China handle this. for once.
royceH:
No, no one will stop them if that's what they decide to do.
The world is waiting to see what China does in their efforts to be taken seriously. If the HK paradigm shifts.....that'll be tolerated. And that tolerance could well empower China. And finally, after all is said and done, China will retreat. And close.
No because it's the human nature itself to want more freedom. For now greed has poisoned the souls of many people, has barricaded the world with hate, many people have given up freedom for more money. But the hate of men will pass, then dictators will fall, and the power they stole from the people will return to the people. It takes only one man or woman who stand up for what is right, and the fight for liberty will never perish.

I've suggested it will take 1 martyr.... and really, nothing less :( (well, at least short term... if ppl are prepared to wait a few more decades, then maybe)

I thought China would have full control of HK after year 2046?
I think the leader of Student Occupation really stupid . also the Hk goverment also too weak . they dont know what to do if the china goverment doesnt give them a command.
also they are too friendly for the people in Hk.

Oh, he is also pretty ugly isn't he, probably smells of pee and has the cooties.
The attendance at these demonstrations appear to ebb and flow according to holidays and weekends ie: students with no classes.
