Q: Homosexuality... is it more accepted in Han culture?

Seems everywhere I turn are examples of Male Love- from the hugging down the street, snuggling on sofa, 'hello' weiguoren. to the worst of all, they seem to pay soooooo much more attention to Males...  hey, check out that pretty girl !   huh, sha ma?

Homosexuality in China was regarded as a normal facet of life in China, prior to Western impact of 1840 onwards. I've never understood it, I like women too much. When I was in high school I always laughed at things like Batman is gay because I was a bit naive. I always thought people were joking.

Batman's gay? That's the first i've heard of it. Big guy in a black mask, stays in shape, wears tight black leather and hangs around with a boy clad in spandex. I don't see anything gay about that.

Batman is also suffering from "tiny pecker syndrome" just look how he is overcompensating with his car

Its just a gayer culture. Similar to how European culture is "gayer" to American culture.

Its not homosexuality just gayer.

However, despite recent changes, no civil rights law exists to address discrimination or harassment on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. The media tends to censor positive depictions of gay couples in films and television shows and households headed by same-sex couples are not permitted to adopt children and do not have the same rights as heterosexual married couples. etc

No idea but personally I like gays; i've had a bottle put over my head, my jaw fractured with a boot, i've been threatened with a knife, a screw-driver, and none of it by any bloke wearing a dress. Sexuality isn't something we choose anyway. I've got a 12 year old student who it is clear to me is gay and his idiot mother confides in my wife that the boy's going through a faze where he's interested in gay porn. Newsflash love, that ain't a faze, your boy's a fruit. But no, she'll probably pressure the poor kid to do what she wants him to do and he'll never be able to be himself. People are petty in their fears.

same here,,,, some of the dudes I hung-around with in college were openly gay,,,,   that was pretty bold in '80's So. Texas.  I am a 'live & let live' kinda guy....   but, wow, I get a lotta 'Hi' in Hunan....  Today 30sth year old guy asking me for my QQ,,, just walks up and starts chatting me while I'm trying to enjoy my dinner, 15 secs later..  'can I have your QQ?'  I just told him  No.

damm martian,,,  your Batman comment had me laff 'til cry....   roflmao

Cheers DD, I know what you mean about blokes walking up and asking for your number and that, but i've never gotten the impression the ones who've done that with me wanted to butter my hotdog, it's mostly just people trying to better their English. I always smile politely and tell them in the kindest way possible to f**k off.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
