Q: is "hongbao" a karma thing... what comes around goes around?

point being    nephew is getting married, in Hong Kong and buying a 75m2 home     thats a fucking million dollar place,,,,,  I have nothing... next to nothing...  why would or should I donate to his extravagance?

I certainly do not struggle to pay my bills ..  but do question why I should be helping him/her with their quest for extravagance.   me me me....  forget who noticed this,,  but yes    yangism is real

Nephew has strong Yangism.

Your investment will return between 0 and 25%.

Depends on how strong your Yangism is Smile And what skills does he have.

I have invested in a hacker Yangist nephew. He did not ask for a house of course, just help with his sustinense while he is at uni. Seems a few hundred pays for 6 months of instant noodles.

I expect a 10000% return on that Yangist family investment. He can get me any software key I want Smile

Nephew? Nope, poke that. I'd give him a welcome mat.

Curious has a point there. You didn't just marry a woman, you married an extended family and their culture. This is what it entails.

I always wanted to send someone,,, distant acquaintance, not well known colleague, a hongbao with like a nice, new, crisp 10¥ bill in it.  I just haven't got up the nerve yet.  I'm pretty crazy sometimes, so I might just do it yet!  Then I wanna stand there very straight-faced when they mention it, like 'you are very welcome' 'I hope you enjoyed your gift', or some shit like that.  hahaha,,, I hope I get the opportunity soon!

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
