Yeah you need to go there with your landlords or have some letter and his signature (it will be the best if your landlord do it by himself), if your office provide housing they're your landlord. Also, a letter from your employer will help too. Ask your neighbours which police station supervise your area and look up their address with google map.

banshee:

well i rented the house in my gf's name from an agent who also rented from landlord and that agent is an asshole, SOB!!! he showed me there are three rooms and after we signed the contract which we didn't see carefully he added another room there making it 4 in 1 room apartment instead of 3 in 1 room apt! we only know this after he brought some PVC doors and fitting into the aptsad

well on top of that my experience letter of 2yrs back from my home was taken by chinese embassy of my country while i was applying for z visa and didnt return it to me! i had the flight the same day i got visa so no time to waste time in hassling so i leave the matter to my bro back in my country either to get it back or go to my previous work place to get a new one!

n the documents if that agents doesnt give me i will have to pay 800 RMB to visa agency for preparing that document for me! uffffffffffff what the hell is this place???sad

My tiltle is Project Manager so i dont know what other papers do u need for it!

my sincere gratitude for any help.

@banshee no worries about the grammar and stuff, as for being screwed by the agent unfortunately its quite normal here :( you have to be careful, whenever you're signing a contract or something its best to bring a friend (local if you can) because we can't really read the contract. Good luck mate

Your employer should be the ones doing everything. Do you live at the school, hotel or an apartment rented by you?

How do you apply for Permanent Resident Permit? Are overseas Chinese entitle to apply?

I think overseas Chinese ( I assume you mean you were Chinese but are now have a different passport) can apply for an S1 or S2 visa.

With the S1 visa you can get your residence permit.

In fact, if you are already in China on a tourist visa you can go to the nearest PSB office and apply for your S1 residence permit without actually needing to get a visa.

The PSB office will guide you through the steps. You can get a two year RP if you have the medical.

To qualify for an S1 though you need to have a Chinese family member you are visiting.

Good luck markadmu
