Q: How to be a top sales?

I begin my internship in a foreign trade company this summer. i learnt how to make business with foreigners, by Chinese. It's not so practical to guess what they are thinking. because we grow up in different cultures.
How you make business?
I am going to write letters to find cooperation. what title will attract you to open my e-mail?
we specialize in emergency lighting, LED and battery.
I need your suggestion. Thank you!

The best advice I can give you is not to shower them with compliments. Chinese people do this a lot and it's part of the culture, but we look down on being showered excessively with praise by strangers and people who want to sell us stuff.

Smile, be honest and dynamic.

First thing you need to know is to do everything PROPERLY. I often do voice work for Chinese companies and 95 per cent of the time the script hasn't been polished by a native speaker. I refuse to edit the work for free, cause fuck that. So, I read it as is.

Now, when they show their promotional video to a prospective client and the English says something like "Zhenlu Chemical plant is number one in planet chemical ruling, with best technologies than others!" Do you think they will assume it is a serious company that means business, or a cheap fly-by-night outfit they can't trust?

THese things are noticed by companies outside China. So, make sure you don't do anything half-assed.

This is very simple.

Be honest. Lying abounds in China as it is thought of as clever. In other countries it means noone will ever do business with you again.

Make deals with foreign businesses and actually do what you told them you would. It amazes me how this rarely ever happens in China. People get paid and then never do anything because they don't feel like it and as far as they're concerned they have money now so why do anything else.

This will go a long way and bring you repeat customers which is actually what you want and will make you a top salesperson.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
