Q: How can I find students near my place wishing to learn English or French?

I've been working for an English teaching center for two weeks now and we still have no students, that is no one has enrolled yet. It's in Panyu, around the 'xiao qu' where I teach there are about five more centers like ours, well they do not teach only english, but other subjects as well ( I guess). It's been bothering me why my boss wanted to employ an English teacher so fast when he does not have any students...

Which brings me back to my question, I want to start giving tuitions myself, near my home... Is it done? How can I start? I want to know if there are students or parents who are interested first...

Did someone try it before? Is someone doing it? How much do you charge? How do you do it? What about the syllabus???

If it is only 2 weeks that you have been there, it is early days for the school. It is not your responsibility to get students in. Check out the recent post: http://answers.echinacities.com/question/am-i-wrong-being-angry-my-school

你好! From the very beginning ,it is a hard time for a new school to get students .And it is also hard for you to get students near your home .Haha ,but if you try to know more people around ,maybe they would help .
