Q: How can I improve my Chinese language?
can you please name some websites and books in english to learn more?

Just go to the google or search engine pages and type in something like free chinese lessons. You can start there and learn at least the basics. they also have audio on those sites so you can hear how it sounds. If you want to learn how to write they also have that on some of those sites. I can't pinpoint the best sites as most of them are fairly similar.
The best way to learn Chinese language comes from the street.

You can talk with Chinese person to practice your Chinese .you also can go to our school to learn Chinese if you are in Shanghai.
I used this site to learn the basics, with my girlfriend correcting my pronunciation. It has audio as well, as Silva suggested.
I then practiced the new words and phrases when we met with her Chinese friends. It gave them quite a lot of amusement, but I eventually learnt some of the basics.

The thing is, I never really tried, because I couldn't see any real use for it once I left China.
I've seen a double post, but never a quadruple post. That's some impressive shit right there.

Maybe four times the same completely unhelpful advice ("find a Chinese person to help you", sure, we didn't heard this 1000 times and we don't know how it goes in practice) counts as a good advice ?
