Q: How can I improve my English fast?
I study one article from BBC each weekend and write down the words I don't know. Then I either look them up or asking help from some native speakers. But soon after I just found that I forgot many words I studied.
It made me feel frustrated. What are good ways to improve my English fast?
Breakingnewsenglish.com, reading and listening, spoken with British and American English
you can adjust the level of the vocabulary, you can adjust the speed of the listening, and you set up the reading for different speeds.
Articles are short, 2 paragraphs, subjects can be fashion, news, sports, pick something you are interested in.

ambivalentmace suggested it to me for my wife about 3 years ago, and she loves the site.

Thanks.
Now I just go to www.bbc.com and challenge myself with the speaking speed the native speakers are used to. I feel my listening seem getting improved to a higher level when I have a high demanding.
Lord_hanson:
Lol, typical vicky. 1) Ask for advice. 2) Receive useful advice. 3) Acknowledge advice. 4) Disgard advice. 5) Continue with original behaviour.
Shining_brow:
Wait for it Lord_H - she'll start abusing us soon for stupid suggestions...

And, I like ELLLO.org for REAL language, with REAL accents, in REAL conversations!
Move to a small town in North America where you are the only Asian person.
Fuck English. Edify yourself, become exemplary at putonghua because no Fortune 500 company is going to hire you, darling.
date a white flesh guy with a good passport then your English will automatically be fluent
When I was learning French in high school my teacher always said constant practice was key. So try to use the new words you learn in conversation as much as you can that way you will remember them better. If possible find a study buddy who you can practice with, you guys can read or watch the same things then afterward have 2 or 3 discussions at separate times, just having normal conversation where you can use those new words.
Also another good option could be to try and read slightly longer pieces of writing e.g short novels or stories as they are more likely to have more word repetition, which could help you recall words quickly. 加油↖(^ω^)↗
Wait at the airport for 10 days and you'll find a Dutch man there who will improve your English, but he might be a little tired by now, he waited for you for so long.
