I'm currently making a blog which has free weekly English & IELTS video lessons. How can I let students in China know about it? Do you know of any websites (other than this one of course) where I could advertise or any popular forums that Chinese students chat on where I can put a post? I'd really appreciate any advice.

My students told me to get myself 'qq' account for chatting with them. However, I told them Chinese websites are difficult to understand, because I can't read Chinese (howl), and suggests them to get themselves Skype instead. I add, they'll be able to practice English.
I'll ask them about suitable website for posting, when I'll return to the classroom, and answer to you.
QQ is a good idea. Download the international version, then you can write in English and translate as well.
ganji.com, but you need to know chinese or get help.

In Ocho Rios, they have 'ganja.com'. Is that the same website?
there is a lot of blogs for ielts on sina, you might get some ideas from there,
make sure they know how to talk on new topics for part 1, most schools just teach old part topics over and over, in may, they added maps and street markets, handwriting and teachers were new in september.

Memorised answers are a GREAT way to NOT get the score you're after! :)
Remember, IELTS is a test of language proficiency, not a test of memory and giving answers to specific questions.

yes i work as an examiner also, if i feel its memorized its a 4 score and out the door,if they can keep the grammar to less than 2 errors and use some linking words at least 4 times correctly, they can get a 5 with a middle school vocabulary ability.
