Q: How can I stream Western shows in China?

I used Funsion (probably spelling this wrong) on my iPad for movies a while ago, but now they're all gone.

Wasn't there a list of how to search shows on those streaming apps?

PPTV, PPS and YouKu all have apps for the IPAD. It takes some exploring if you can't read Chinese.

The PPTV app is the easiest click the picture of the TV, then in the right top corner touch what looks like a golf tee. This drops down a menu select 美国 for American shows and 英国 for shows from the UK.

If you value whatever you store on your machine as private data, or if you just value its performances, just don't install those softwares.

At least Google has the decency to hide they're taking over your system with their crap.

Scandinavian:

Yup. I recently reinstalled my wifes laptop because it was running soooo slooooooooow. A fresh Windows installation and it is a super machine. Then add PPStream, QQ and such and it is back to a painful experience. I think it I added 360 "Security" it would actually start working backwards.

Sure you can,

My American buddy owns a restaurant and every Sunday night (more like Monday morning 2AM) he streams the football games live from the U.S.

Although, the internet connection is not so great in China... and it sometimes freezes or skips.

The intranet works great actually.

with all the spyware and vpn problems, its easier to download from a torrent and play the movie and then delete it, rather than the internet play with constant buffering, depends on your internet speed and hardware.

tencent, qq, and 360 put spyware on your computer, i checked a computer the other day in a grade 2 high school class and with 360 it had 732 pup's and 22  trojans, much worse than any other country i have lived in, hell the school uses a driver genius program for all the compters that has tencent spyware in the download file, the it department is useless and sometimes the only computer working is the one in my class on the whole damn network. no one seems to care as long as they can use it for the computer games and porn, my students could not tell me the name of one spyware pup. totally clueless and oblivious.

I recently went to SanYa China. I was able to watch streaming shows using AppleTV in my hotel room.  I first tried to access Netflix using Hide My Ass VPN and it wouldn't connect. Then I tried PIA, it was connected but very slow. I finally was able to using shows from netflix by using tunlr's DNS service, and it's free Smile For those who don't know what DNS unblocking service is, you can read this article: http://vpnverge.com/what-is-dns-unblocking-service/

A:You can still skin into China as a non-English native teacher by holding English Teaching license in your home country.2nd: Your BA degree should be completed in a native English country. Once, you fulfilled these 'parameters', you qualify for an English teaching job in China as a non-native English sneaker with Z - Entry/working visa with Working and Residence permit later on. See the last 'Answers Highlight' ---> there is a web link posted about 'requirements for teaching English language in China as a non-English native passport holder'. https://www.gooverseas.com/blog/guide-teaching-english-china#paragraph-item-63614-target

*English proficiency: Passport from one of seven "native speaker" countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa). If you aren’t a native speaker, you’ll need to be a certified teacher in your home country with proof of your English proficiency (e.g. IELTS or TOEFL). I'd say, Chinese will choose and look especially for a native English speaker at teaching of English Literature job openings. Posted job adverts for English Literature teaching are most likely from International Schools in China. Good luck! -- icnif77
