Q: How can i work legally without 2 years experience?

I am graduating from college this June. I have already found a position for myself but unfortunately, I have been informed by my employer that Z visa requires 2 years experience in the intended field or whatever.

Would working on Student Visa as a "high paid intern" be considered legal?

Does anybody know how the intern-student-visa works?

Thanks in advance.

Without the necessary 2 years experience you are likely to end up in a fairly isolated location so you have to be quite self-sufficient and be able to put up with all the BS such a location will throw at you.

There may be very few other non-Chinese where you end up, and there is unlikely to be all the resources and amenities you are used to - you will probably be getting back to basics in terms of living conditions.

Don't travel as an 'intern' or 'student' as this will be an invitation to be fecked over by locals in every way they possibly can.

Most locals will look on you as 'fresh meat' to be scammed when you arrive.

Do thorough research and avoid places that fudge answers on direct questions regarding all aspects of work/living/pay

Another dumb question."Would it be legal if I break the law?" What do you think?

There is a legal way apply for a school in a small city. Especially the Autonomous regions. Pay your dues for 2 or 3 years and then you can work almost anywhere.

Because you are clearly not  intelligent, I'll tell you you to make sure you are working legally under the right visa for the right city.  Anything a school says that contradicts working on a working visa is a self serving lie. Again, because you do not seem smart, be very careful every step of the way.

Kas: You want to ask her for her number? Observing that someone is not intelligent is an insult? Intelligent means you have or possess knowledge. Asking whether she could work legally on a student visa is a clear display of ignorance.

To quote an intelligent man, if telling you or anyone else you're not intelligent hurts your feelings, too bad they don't make band aids for feelings.

I'm trying to find a way to fucking stay in China, learn more and gain experience. And what are you doing, debating about how smart i am? lolll

Have you even read my question?

There's always a loophole in laws or anything in this world really. Working as an intern on a student visa is NOT ILLEGAL! Get your facts right smarty pants!
I just needed some more information as I can't get anything from the official websites.

I thought this website is for expats to exchange information and experiences. Unfortunately though, that's clearly not the case. If I knew this website was full of internet trolls and scums like you, I wouldn't have posted anything here.  What a waste of time.

I'm not letting this go only because people like you need a slap in the face and wake the fuck up!

I'm sure you're some 40 yo dirty ass sitting on a coach doing nothing but being an asshole and pretending to be some kind of smarty pants on the internet.

Grow the fuck up! You don't need to be an asshole! Get a life you sad fucktard.

That requirement is put in place to prevent too young people to apply for a job.

Hmmm, the whole two year "requirement" is more of a guideline than an actual law and whether it's enforced or not varies between different cities. If your boss has enough guanxi and considers what you have to contribute valuable enough then they may be willing to pull a couple strings, work the officials and do what needs to be done to ensure that your Z visa is granted.

The other alternative is to work for this company on a business visa under a short term internship. This is definitely quite a grey area, nonetheless, from what I know it's technically not illegal.

Best of luck!

That's not true, the visa office will look at when you graduated. If it's not more than 2 years ago, they won't approve the visa. Whether you have 2 years of experience, "in that field" can be open for interpretation, but lately they've been much harder on the 2 year requirement.

It is quite easy to get a job and work visa w/o 2 years experience for small cities. Also there are schools which are not fancy or have some guanxi with government officials, so that they can get almost anyone to work for them legally. It is true that things are different in bigger cities, especially for tier 1. The teacher can get WP in Shenzhen, but he/she will definately be screened for qualification, and possibly for possession of TEFL, but still the teacher's likely gonna be accepted even with less than 2 years experience, all they need is to check if he had work visa in China previously - that's one of the best proofs.

Apply and you will succeed.  I think it's best to apply directly, rather than through an agent.

Smaller cities are better.  Well done for telling that fella what I was thinking.  He's quite often of a negative bent.

I cannot find the site to link it, if I find it later I will post it.

The visa laws here have recently changed. Unless you already have worked in China on a Z visa, you must be at least 24 years old with two years (minimum) of relevant experience, at least a BA, and Some form of ESL certification.   This is an attempt to control the "quality" of the teachers coming here by blocking out the "recent-grad" workers. If you want to stay in Asia, Go teach in Thailand until you have enough experience to qualify for work.

The alternatives are switching to a tourist visa and hanging out (but not working) or trying your luck getting a work visa.

I I hate to steal a line from ICNIF, but maybe SAFEA can answer your questions.

icnif77:

That's useless, IMO. SAFEA will just state Law regulations on '2-years experience' or answer will most likely be 'not possible'.

I'd say try in smaller cities, or ask your future employer/sponsor about it at the first interview.

I just go: "I'm Non. Can you get Working permit/extend RP for Non in your city?"

If contact person isn't sure, I continue: 'You can ask at SAFEA in your city....'.

Same Q can be asked for '2 years of experience' or any other missing requirement from the job advert.

@onokoqd im just sharing an info and not trying to imply anything here.

I know a filipino who got a proper working visa while working as a waitress in a cafe for two years. i dont know how she managed to get the visa. She only has a diploma in nursing and she didnt have the relevant experience at all and now after two years, she was just hired in a big company which develops and sell OS as customer service rep.

I have never really seen that 2 year law used. If you've got a BA or BS degree you'll be fine
