Is there any rain, snow, sleet?
There is very little snow. The cold comes from the wind. From Nov until March, you can count on a lot of really strong, really cold wind. The wind is so strong some times that you have to fight to move forward walking.
take a piss and i am posttive that it will freeze before reaching it's destination.......................IT'S LIKE THIS

Hmmm ... Maybe you should take greater care with the vulgarities you espouse - not welcome, in my estimation.

Haaikie, I agree with your comment. There are a lot of crass vulgarities around here and some outright insanity. Just step over all of it and please consider just as part of an open sewer that has not been covered over yet. Ignore it please and continue with your fine comments.

The general gist of the statement is true, though. Maybe use the analogy of dropping a coffee cup if your sensibilities are that delicate.
Haaike, I read somewhere I think that you are from South Africa and in Dubai now. Please forgive me if I am incorrect. That being said, if it is true, you will find your winter in Dalian, there is no way around that. True enough -- there isn't usually mountains of snow, not at least these years, but it happened in the past and the winter three years ago was the coldest winter on record in Liaoning Province. That winter, temperatures in Dalian of - 20 C. were not uncommon (warm compared to Harbin, I admit).
It's not a tropical climate by any means.

Thanks. I am currently in the UAE but not in Dubai. I will be arriving in Dalian, hopefully, before New Year. Seems to me I have to brace myself for the winter. Here in the desert, the summer temperatures are 50-55 Celsius, and my body seems to have gotten used to it. Now I will have to change to the extreme opposite.
