Q: How to deal with Chinese professors?
I go to a US/Chinese graduate program. All of my classes are in Chinese and I have Chinese professors. Some of them are really moody and temperamental. One of them loved me last semester and then decided to downgrade me this semester because they felt I was conflicting with the scholars he was presenting too much in my papers. Maybe because I'm from a western background, I've always been told to challenge assumptions. What do you do about unfair professors or grades here? Should I bite the bullet or do something about it?
Even in America, there are times where challenging the professor gets you nothing but lower grades. Sometimes you just have to do an assignment a way the professor likes. Unless you like lower grades...? I highly doubt you're going to be able to change anything, even if you could somehow prove the teacher is being unfair.

people (especially some professor ) don't like young man challenge their authority.maybe you need find another way to pleasure them.
You're in the land of "monkey see, monkey do"... where the idea that actually questioning a professor was a smart move??
And remember, that's also the way that the professors got to where they are... by not questioning their peers and teachers.
Write an article about it. Make sure you put an interesting title. Make it publicly known what your feelings are and you can include names in it if you want. If they want to secretly do something against you like deliberately giving you low scores etc., just put the news out and hopefully it will reach more people that way.
You have little choice but to bite your tongue and endure. Arguing or filing any complaint would only make your grades plummet further.
Give them Gifts on a regular basis..Invite them for dinner in a cozy restaurant..drink with them...
