Q: how to deal with luxury food rubbish

Have you ever noticed a phenomenon that we waste a lot of food, which is supposed to be consume in a better way but only to find in the garbage barrel. Even most of the food hasn't been touched that turn into the rubbish due to the enriched food nowadays, which contributes great pressure to our environment. That's to say, we have to spend a lot of money to deal with the rubbish accompanied by a variety of  by-products produced during the treatment process. Are we supposed to be responsible for our way of eating? Do you have any better solution?

I think we should train people to separate waste more carefully before throwing it away.

If we separate all of our food scraps, it can be composted, which turns it into fertilizer and allows it to be used to help grow more food! This slop can also be fed to pigs and chickens (but not cows because of BSE).

Much of food waste is actually the containers the food is put inside. If we separate our metal, glass, and plastic containers, these can be sent to a facility that either cleans them and refills them or melts them down into components. This is called recycling, and its success also depends on having rules about packaging chemical contents.

We should also pay more attention to the ecologists, who now know that many methods farmers use to get the largest yield from their land will destroy the soil in the long run. In ancient times in Europe, the people knew that 2/3 of the land must sit fallow. While China probably had more advanced agriculture than this, I think even here it was often important to let land lie fallow between plantings. We should not become arrogant about technology, and pay attention to the ancient wisdom of crop rotation.
