12 years 15 weeks ago in Health & Safety - China
Different things work for different people but doing some form of exercize such as swimming is generally good. Yoga or Taichi is also a great way to unwind and relax but you have to be motivated and serious about it to get proper results.
Massage parlors & cold beer. The two ways I love to spell relief.

i tried massage... all they do is ram your muscles, felt like you fell off the bike or slipped the stairs...
I belong to a long distance cycling club. When the weather is clement enough, after work, in the early evening hours, we cycle 25 - 35 kilometers during the workweek, 100 kilometers or long on the weekend. It's a great way to reduce stress and also a very good form of exercise. Additionally, I have seen (backwater) parts of the country that were quite pretty that I would have never seen otherwise.

cool... you made me remember that my bikes were stolen here, twice... i used to take a ride whenever ever bored... cross country biking... you made me remember the nice rides i used to have... thanks

gym is too noisy with their crazy spinning sessions! was a serious lifter for years, now just an occasional lifter..., on the alcohol side... am not a drinker.. on the net side, better for movies and research...lol
Finding a desert spot with a great view on the city (like a roof), and then drink beer and smoke cigarettes in silence.
Besides drinking and smoking and conventional exercise, the absolute best stress relief is great sex!!
the only stress I encountered was when the next massage girl started knocking
When all else fails...I rely on my old standby....Hits of the 80's! Need I say more?
