People NOT EVEN CUSTOMERS, just coming into the place and plopping down to use free wifi for hours. I just went to Burger King and the place was full of people taking up a table for four by themselves as they read a book and sip on a cup of pop for three hours. One guy was watching a movie and hadn't even ordered anything!
Why is the manager not stomping their guts out?
They get so many customers, they probably don't mind if those said customers don't get a table. "The customer is King" isn't really applied here yet.
For appearance stance, they want those people. The concept is the place must be good if there is always many people there.
And having someone just sitting there sipping on a coke for a few hours is a full seat without having to do any work.
The manager can "claim" the full resturant without having to do full resturant amount of work. They don't care about what's be for the company to make money, it's all about their own personal appearance.
and how about McD's doubling as the public WC... But I guess Private Property and Communism are fundamentally at odds with each other.
If it's not their job to get rid of them, why would the manager care? I guess it's not anyone's job, otherwise they would be gone already.
nevermind:
Uh, well, actually it IS there job to get rid of them. That's part of being a manager.
