Hi guys I have a working visa problem (like I'm not the first foreigner to have one of these hehe) I have been trying to solve. I found a teach job I want 4 weeks ago in Hebei. I haven't signed a contract with them coz they insisted getting a working visa first (which is ok) and I am currently back home in Australia. However everytime we put in an online application to get the invitation letter for the working visa it keeps getting rejected. We have been told by the FSB that something is wrong (they wont tell us exactly) and we have tried changing dates, double checked employment history etc. Last time it was rejected the FSB also said i had been in the country for too long (eventhough i left the country in March 013 and the contract date we used said it finished July 013 this year but was actually terminated december 012, I have written and signed proof of this from my last company too), the dreaded "5 year rule".I am in the middle of contacting my previous education company because we think they changed something when they did my visa, however I am not holding out hope. Any help you guys could give me would be great! I have been eager to come back to China and this problem has been making me CRAZY!

School should send you an Invitation letter, apply for your Working permit, and Z visa. As I know, you should sign Contract with School first, then everything else will follow.
I don't know, how can you apply online (apply to whom?) for Invitation letter.
What FSB stands for?

This is not a real situation. I think this is what Chinese think. Because they can apply online for visas to other countries. So they think the same might be true for foreigners applying to China.
icnif77:
You can apply for some Chinese visas (L) online. But, you cannot apply for Invitation letter online.
usually your company (school) have to apply directly for an invitation letter for you and a working permit, therefor they have to show an employment contract, business licences etc.
after that they send you the documents and you can apply for your Z visa in australia.
Never heard of any online application and if so it shouldnt be your business
Are you actually Chinese? Do you actually live in China? Maybe that could have something to do with it.
icnif77:
I wasn't calculating with that possibility. Butt.....that's what it is with Z procedure.
Hi, by the way I am not chinese and I mean FEB (Foreign Experts Bureau). Thanks for your answers guys. So hate this situation.

Open 'jobs' page (top R), pick some jobs, and start communicating with the Schools.

NEVER heard of an online application process, especially now that there is more of a control on work visa's.
