Wells Fargo charged me a fee for the last time.
Yesterday I switched to a Credit Union. Before I opened my new account I asked them if they could receive international wire transfers, and they said that they could. However, when I was done opening my account I asked them for their SWIFT code, and they told me that they don't have one.
If they don't have a SWIFT code, it means they can't receive international wire transfers, isn't this right?
Does anybody know of an alternative way to send the money that doesn't require the SWIFT code?

All banks have a swift code, that is their interlink electronic address. the problem is that in Asia and other places is called SWIFT Code, and in USA and western countries is called ABI or ABA or similar. sorry, but I do not recall it exactly, but it should be close to ABI.
If not, just ask them for the routing and electronic address to be used for electronic wire transfers. That should do it.

I should give you an update:
My Credit Union does not have a swift code or any other code that allows them to directly receive international wire transfers. They said I need to find the US affiliate of my Chinese bank and set up a wire transfer where they receive the money from the international wire and then relay it by domestic wire to my Credit Union.
However, I may also simply wire the money to my parents and have them deposit it in my Credit Union. I'm still investigating my options.
