Q: How do part-timers get work visas?

Lots of work is 'seasonal', whether it's part-time teaching, acting/modeling, or writing. How do you get work-visa sponsorship in that situation?

Some have a long term RP renewable every 10 years, some others have a full time job and work aside on part time, some pay visa agents with very good guanxi who get them a work visa/FEC/everything else.

Part-time teaching is done by Residence permit holders, I think.

There were loads of FTs at Kaifeng Uni at my arrival in September, working with F visas, but they were all exiting China shortly.

Now at my return, I'm the only FT here. It looks, Henan SAFEA start to implicate 'working regulations in China'.

As I understand, there are no visas for part-time work, so all part-time is illegal by Chinese law.

AFAIK, there's no stipulation in Chinese labour laws regarding what is actually a 'full-time' workload. Thus, technically, someone could be employed as a 'full time' employee, but only work 1 hour per month.

I'd suggest that the local PSB and other organisations that deal with foreigners getting employment here may not accept such a contract, however, a private deal could be struck...

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
