Q: How do we (foreigners) look to Chinese?
I've read so many posts about women not shaving (doesn't bother me) and it made me think about how we look to the Chinese. I'm not super hairy, but my GF once commented on the hair on my arms, ;;why foreigners are so hairy?''. I think we have many features that they find different. I have a small nose. You got any stories?
I get everything from James Bond to the white monkey
personally I prefer white monkey as expectations are not to high
I've heard from quite a few Chinese people that they think all white men are 'well endowed' a bit like the stereotype some 'western' men have of blacks. I even had a Chinese guy trying to take a look in a public toilet in a pool hall I use!

Chinese women are hairy, especially in the private parts places, they do not even care to shave or anything (this is based on what my male friends tell me 
)
When it comes to us, I guess it is the long noses, big wide eyes and golden or red hair (which is so different from black here).

I have done extensive observations on Chinese women. They are not hairy, some are bald every where. Women at home can look like sasquatch in comparison.
I look at them then I realize day by day that I am in China.

yeah, especially if you speak a good English, they ask you : "Mei Guo?" They learn fast, though. Tree years before when I told Chinese people that I'm Russian, I had to say I'm from USSR, but nowadays I just say "Eluosi", and everybody understands:) And their opinion about white foreigners to be rich and black foreigners to be poor...And they often believe that all the foreigners love hamburgers...And also many Chinese girl don't like to have their muscules in good tonus, they think it's not beautiful, can you imagine that? But I like when they say: "Oh, you are Russian? No wonder you're so beautiful!")))

I don't know about anyone else, but I think most Chinese see me as some sort of Greek statue (from norf Laaaandon) of manliness. And it must be said, I do cut a fine figure of a man. Shock of bronzed locks, Roman nose, eyes of flame, steel jaw, head of lettuce and nob of butter. Well, nobody's perfect.
Some say I look like a monster. Some say I'm like a movie star. So, Frankenstein the Movie Star.
I don't know about you, and don't send pictures.
Regarding women not shaving I just read that it maybe traditional Chinese.
Nightly, the Emperor would decide which concubine would visit him that evening. She would then be stripped, bathed and depilated before being carried to his chamber.
There you have it scrubbed and plucked then delivered.

not all the foreigners for you look the same right? say French and Chinese. ( if you are not french)

Since I partly have Chinese origins, they just think I am one of them, unless they come closer and notice my big nose and eyes. Or unless I start talking, in which case I just tell them I am Korean, just to avoid repetitive and endless questions on immigration and race mixing.

My nasal bridge is pretty high, even for Europe, Chinese people find that interesting (and sexy).
I also have dark hair and eyes, but pale, pinkish skin, they say they thought all foreigners are blond.

I have been asked if I am American, German or Russian. NOT ONCE has anyone asked if I am from the UK (I am).
I had one colleague tell me she couldn't remember which foreign teacher she borrowed a book from because "you all look the same"
Bear in mind one of us was tall'ish, well built and bald and another was skinny, taller and ginger. There were various others.
We probably all look like Mr. Bean to Chinese people.

as an american that does not smile much, i pull off the russian appearance quite well, but trying to explain casca rufiel longinius is to much trouble>
I am spanish, and chinese think i am american and they always think that in Spain our first language is english!!. I get really shocked as well as really angry, is it possible such a bad education!!!
I'm Portuguese... but when I say I'm from Portugal they immediately say: "From where?!"...
How I look to them? I don't know; I'm not hairy, and I'm not that tall either... I look pretty normal I'd say.
I get constant "You are so handsome" from girls/women... that can't be a bad thing.
