Q: How do you deal with a Chinese temper tantrum?

Childish behavior is a lot more common among women in China. Since they were raised up to think acting like a baby was cute, they play the role to perfection. With my ex-girlfriends, when I got into arguments, there'd be a lot of screaming and anger, but when I actually explained myself, reason prevailed.

Here, it seems the more I try to make sense, the less good it does. Walking away always felt cowardly and irresponsible to me: an immature way of dealing with a problem. But isn't that the only sensible way of dealing with a temper tantrum when the other side doesn't deal with reason?

Walking away is the only way I have found to deal with it.  Using common sense and logic in arguments with an immature girl is just a waste of time and breath.  Just walk down the street, grab a beer and just let it go.  If it happens too often, walk down the street, grab a beer and let HER go.

Fully agree with John,  I head to my mates house for a beer and some xbox.   I thought it was just my gf, but it seems reason and logic go out the window in a Chinese argument

My wife never listens to reason and never believes she's wrong. Even if I walk away the text's keep coming, for F**ks sake I even have to power off my phone

If it is between my GF and me, the only thing that will work is to shut up and walk away.  She knows by now that she will waste her time with trying those on me.

With anyone else, I just smile and walk away.  Seems to work too.

Seems we all are on the same page. Reasoning has nothing to do with a disagreement here. Glad I'm not alone.
