Q: How do you feel about alibaba's products and service?

Foreigners can spot many business opportunities in China. They found good factories/suppliers and cooperate for a long time. Nowadays, Alibaba is becoming well-known and easier to use. Is it user-friendly? Welcome to any complaints or insights.

You're stuck in 2006. People use China simply because it's cheaper. Quality and service are chit. Before buying they'll be nice, answer your emails, answer your questions, the whole nine. After sale, they will ignore your complaints of problems unless they're expecting a future order.

Fortunately, factories are moving out of China or can simply be gotten cheaper from other countries.

Here's where Ma get's a lot of respect from me, he made it extremely easy for Chinese companies to market themselves in a way users benefit. Here's what I mean, If i wanted to find a pen manufacturer in India, I have no clue where to get a listing. While many countries can do it cheaper and better quality and less aggravation (dealing with face) the convenience of finding and comparing sellers will give China an advantage for a few more years.

teach them how to do their job would be a start. most don't know anything about what they are selling or have very poor understanding of clients needs

used to b a gud earlier, but after upgradin' is lessr user friendly. the search throws many irrelevant products, cant send multiple enquiries, cant c&p enquiry etc.

GreatTao:

The service in most of China's company is horrible, because China has a history of no individualism? Sort of related. They just don't think far more than make money. Lack of responsibility for the environment.

Actually there are some platforms trying to replace alibaba. For example,http://www.gttown.com it may be the next FLOP? It has no much attraction either. I thought alibaba is a success. It's expanding to the world.

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
