Q: How do you get fired from a job in China?
I swear, half of the people work should have been fired months ago.
Late, hungover, unprepared, but they are immune to termination.

'Either party can terminate Contract for any reason with 30-days termination notice.'
Before I ink the Contract, I didn't ask too many Qs. I was thinking, if anything won't be good, I'll just terminate it.
Party A terminated before party B, but since Contract was terminated by above Contract's provision, Party B 'enjoyed' free apartment for another 30-days with i-Pod attached to ears, and kept RP intact.

Chinese philosophy when it comes to work, if we're all lazy and incompetent then we can't be fired. Workers who are serious and try to do a good job are harassed by other employees into quilting. Even middle managers get in on the act.
There were days I came into work and actually tried to get fired. I think there are days in China that we say we've had enough of this sh*t, all of Asia is our working job market. Get fired today, get hire by wechat the next minute later. Amazing isn't it? It use to be Get fired today get hire tomorrow. But Now we can get hired within minutes or seconds on wechat and or QQ. lol
my favorite way to get a "guy" to fire me
first boink the # 1 assistant
next, boink the #1 assistants daughter (over 20)
then boink the bosses wife and if this does not get you released , boink the boss

I was made redundant about 5 years, ago after arriving here for a 2 year secondment on my western wage. Expat package sort of thing. The bankers decided I was too expensive.
So you can be sacked for being too expensive.
Bankers... The most soulless people about. They will sell their gran for a Bali holiday home.
But hey, I am still here, on a local wage. The Banker who made me redundant was sacked. As was the director who put my name forward. Ha ha, now the new bankers hope to get rich on my latest patents, but I am still on a Chinese wage.

The only time I knew of someone getting fired was guy who got physically aggressive and hit the boss at my school he was there for about 8 years and one day just lost it, I am sure there is a back story to it but I remember getting a stern lesture about never raising my hand to anyone in the school but outside is another thing.
Another time was this other teacher who was always late for work, high on something and only after 6 months of warnings did he get fired and he was not bothered about it at all. He was so lucky that the school only fired him when his contract was nearly up!
From hearsay, an effective method would be:
Tell people you're a fugitive escaping US jurisdiction for grievously assaulting your brother or girlfriend (the tales are hazy on details)
Suck at your job. Pretend that teaching children is as elusive as astrophysics, reject materials and wait for staff to provide something you can work with, which you never can.
Visit every massage parlour shitfaced, and make a spectacle that everyone in town will hear about.
Spend every yuan you are handed, and more if you can get your hands on it.
After that you can sit back and wait for the sack attack.
