Q: How do you pass the time when sitting on a 1 hour subway ride?

Read newspapers with my phone, listen to music or English.
Listen to music, study a little Chinese. I might start bringing my guitar.
Read a book on my phone, study Chinese or play mobile games
If I had to ride a subway for an hour everyday in China, I'd start shooting people on the second day. If I never got caught, I'd shoot myself.
Listen music while watch how chinese people act & behave.
Every week I stockpile my phone with new movies/tv shows/podcasts etc etc .
I don't know how i'd survive the 3 hours a day on a subway if it werent for my phone. i'm still not quite sure how i survive it.
I read a lot on my phone. ebooks are great! Actually, subway and bus rides are the only time I read. But it takes forever to get to work each day, so I've managed to read about 10 books this year so far. Can't complain.
I've got masses of Chinese study material downloaded onto my phone, plus i've got some baoding balls, those Chinese meditation balls, which I take with me on longish trips, so whenever i'm bored I simply do a little study and play with my balls.

Well, there aren't many subways back in the States. So, it sure doesn't apply there!
I usually read epub books and listen to music. Some recently read books are I Drink for a Reason, The Post American World, Cypherpunks and Confessions of an Economic Hitman.
I just got the SNES emulator on my phone. So lots and lots of Donkey Kong!
I would recommend qq mobile or qq hd for android,,,,,,passes the time chatting with those who you call friends,,,,,i do that all the time

I never have the chance sit in subway here in china for all my ride . never
ebooks too. lately re-reading Tess,,, Hardy fkn rocks hard ! (symmetrical alliteration attempt excused). and about half-way thru an account of Captain Cook's around the world voyage. wow. there is an adventurer.

I figure out someplace that is closer for the next trip.
I never sit down in metro. I always listen to my ipod & look for hot chicks & the weird things people do.
if i was on the Beijing underground, i'd catch up with the continuing adventures of 'Leon and Leona'
