Q: How do you Rate long distance travel methods?
I love the Trains if im not in a hurry however I find it more convenient to fly most times
I've never tried the sleeper buses and the way they drive in China It wouldn't be very relaxing.

I travel a lot on business from Guangzhou to Shanghai & Hangzhou. Normally flying. This year, especially to Hangzhou, has been a nightmare. Generally 2-3 hour delays and the last 3 flights had 5 hour delays! I've agreed with the company owner that in future we'll take the train. 7-8 hours with rarely a delay.
I've used the overnight trains a few times to visit places like Guilin, enjoyable trips but you arrive very early morning. The high speed line from GZ to there now takes around 2 hours so planning weekends away is a lot easier now.
Yeah high speed train for the win. Planes are always delayed and too cramped. Buses are a nightmare.
