Specifically, a leather couch - its very dusty. I would use soap and water, but I'm wary of any damage that may be caused to it (as it's not my couch).
To make this a China specific question, what product can I buy in China to clean it, like an oil or something?

Try some window cleaner. You probably need something that will cut body grease and cooking oil that have been in the air.
I couldn't clean the grime of my old cars seats, nothing would touch it. I found by accident that paint thinner would wipe off the body oils and dirt ground in, but use a barely damp cloth, it also took some of the leather colour off. Test in an area that you don't see. Try alcohol first.
Now again by accident I splashed diesel fuel on my new Acuras seat and it ate the seat. FM, $600 repair.
I've seen stores in Beijing that specialize in leather-care. I would try to look it up in a directory and ask there. But in the meantime, I would definitely not clean it with water as this will crack the leather.
You will have to be more specific. What kind of stains, grease, ink, grass, etc is the leather suede or just natural. the problem with suede is spot cleaning leaves marks. Your best bet is to find a cleaner thar cleans leather. If they are lederhosen then they are supposed to be stained etc
If your leather is with grain pls use coconut oil for clean
off grain like nubuck or suede can use cotton with water and dry it.
Wipe the leather jacket with kerosene and then dry it in sun to ward off the smell.
Is that RED LEATHER or YELLOW LEATHER
say that 10 times really fast
Saddle soap for all kinds of leather. Black Kiwi polish for black leather (the real polish...not the instan-shine crap)
Look it up on the web, under how to clean leather, it as all kinds of advice?
