Q: how does qq or wechat work
OK, in a civil simple way explain how qq or wechat works Not in a lecture or 100s of nosey questions no assumptions no wondering why this why that ok? I mean its a way to chat It has a way it translates languages but is it a person a translator doing this or is it a computer software doing the translations? How trustworthy and reliable are they? which is the best and easiest to sign up for and easiest to use? I usually use google or yahoo for email but I know they are banned in china Or is there other ways to communicate to china from USA that's free and is trusted and reliable? If there are other ways let me know!

you can download QQ from http://im.qq.com/. there is an internatioanl version.
there is also QQ group 189972286, which is the group who are looking for dating. But, I have been this group for long time , gained nothing.

Cub... QQ is a sort of Chinese facebook/ twitter. Wechat is a photo sharing and chat app. Translations are done by software. I prefer wechat to QQ. You need a phone for wechat. I suggest an iphone is best for yourself. The iphone 4 is ok. You could get a cheap android phone, but most of the phone features on a US bought android phone will not work in China. Once you have your phone, download the wechat app and add your friends. If you don't want to buy a phone then you cant get wechat. Once you have a phone with wechat you can use your PC to read and write messages. If you intend coming to China, then you pretty much will need a functioning smart phone. Sure, some people get by with an old Nokia brick, but it is a lot easier to get around China if you have a reasonable phone loaded with maps and a translate package. Chinese people do tend to use wechat more than anything else. Even to the extent that people rarely swap phone numbers these days.

Go to www.wechat.com and read about how to use this great app. There is an FAQ (Frequently asked questions) section to help if you have any problems with downloading or using the WeChat app. WeChat uses the Youdao dictionary for translation, which isn't always accurate. Have fun using it and making new friends!
One final thing. Please resist the urge to breed.
I've never used wechat or qq translation function as the people I chat with are usually intellectually capable of understanding me. For your case, I don't think a translator helps, you may need something extra such as a brain.
