Was looking at Internet plans over the weekend and noticed that the companies measure their services in "zhao" (兆).
How fast are these speeds in real-world usage?
Is there a Kbps speed average that's tied to each zhao?
Should I just buy the highest zhao package? or are they all about the same after a certain point?

a 兆 is a megabyte.
You need to ask the provider what's the highest your area has. We wanted 12 I think but our community hasn't had it installed yet. And yes, obviously they higher the better.
1 zhao(Mb) =1024 Kbps, Chinese communities usually provide 4 zhao broadband service ,that means your downloading speed could reach 500kb/s. my advise is if you do not have to donwload so many stuff like movies or songs or games,a 2 zhao plan with a downloading speed of 250kb/s is enough!
