Q: how fat is too fat? for men or women?
how much fat are they willing to accept and deal with in a mate?
15 years 1 week ago in Relationships - China
I think in China being fat or chubby is unacceptable, unless you have money. In that case looks don't matter.
Depends where in China, being fat out in the countryside shows you have shows everyone that you have lots of money. This is really true for the guys being fat. Since the Chinese men need to have want to feel like they are the provider of the family, then a fat rich girl to marry as a wife is less attractive.
Njord:
Many officials, policemen, Military officers and rich people are in fact quite fat, obese actually! Ever see Mao's grandson?? wow! He's fatter than me, now that's fat!!
I am from Puerto Rico, and my studets find Jeniffer Lopez fat. Cultural.

SHe is not Fat..........J Lo..I miss you babe.......I wish that my GF pass this
As long as you don't need the assistance of a crane or a forklift to get around, it's all good baby!
average is already too fat in China. They have those anorexic girls that seems to be the norm. Even clothes vendors look at me like they wanna say "you think I have a dress your size? we're not at the zoo here!"
It's hard, it's rude, but people have no consideration for chubby women here in China...
crimochina:
i love chubby women i could be the happiest 3- 12 hours of your life
Njord:
Well at least you have something local women don't have... Boobs! Trust me they're insanely insecure about that as well, so you can use that against them when they're being rude...
I feel fat but my friends says no.
My partner says Im sexy but most of my chinese collegues say I'm big..
Wuw oh:-(
Well, first take someone who is obviously too fat, like 500 kg. Then, gradually remove (by slow liposuction) the fat in their body one milligram at a time, observing between removals. When you get to the point where they are no longer "too fat", you have your answer.
It is a two step rule: 1- Can the person see their feet just looking down? 2- Are your belt and t-shirt moving appart? Then th e answer is yes.
I dont think that wiegth should have anything do do with anything. You are who you are and that is it. be true to your self and nothing else. Personality has no weight. Just my oppinoin
I'm generally attracted to bigger guys, but there is a line, for me it's more about how the person carries himself and how confident he is in his own skin. Bigger guys give better hugs, tend to have heartier laughs and (i find) are more genuine people.
Then again, the American "fat"/"obese" can be very extreme...that would be too fat for me.
For men I would say the moment you have to look in to mirror to be able to see your dick, you are too over the limit.
Another indicator on both sides of the gender spectrum would be...can you still clip your own toe nails?
But this is relative as fat in China would be considered mostly normal in the US or the rest of the western world.
Ultimately it all boils down to Body Mass Index.
I'm gonna be an amazon woman in China. Here, I'm average. Boring! They will all be looking up to me!
mwuahahaha!
I like a skinny ass woman, but after she becomes the light of my life, then looks do not matter as much. So as time goes on some weight is expected and does not matter. Honestly I have dumped women for chuncking up too much. If I can't throw them over my shoulder (the only foreplay they get) what's the sense?

whats with you Panda? thought we were cool? Thats more than two !

What?!!!!!!.............Anyone got a manual for this answer?!!!!!!
If you have to think who lifts whose in missionary, than its time for serious dieting.
We have to remember, China is only just coming out of an agricultural society. People were thin because they a) didn't have the sort of foods that we do (high fat, high carbs), and b) were out doing all that exercise (ie, work). So, the fat man idea would show wealth, because all the workers were thin (and, often, strong).
But, this place is changing, and so are diets, and laziness! They're catching up
I'm seriously not fat, but I've walked into clothes shops here, and been told they don't have my size!! (FTR, I'm not even 70Kg/140lb).
well, if a Japanese guy throws a harpoon at you,,,,,, you are probably fat.
Officially BMI 25 or greater = fat, BMI 30 or greater is obese.
I work on 5 unit reduction in Asian's for their generally smaller stature, (yeah I know generalisation)
To work out your BMI:
1. height in metres multiplied by itself (squared) e.g. 1.85 x 1.85= 3.4225
2. Weight in Kilograms e.g. 80
3. Divide weight by height Squared e.g. 80 / 3.4225 = 23.37
So in this example the BMI is 23.37 which is in the healthy range for 'Westerners', however note BMI takes no account of body build so those with a more muscular frame will have a higher BMI but may well NOT be fat.
Second note, working on BMI is not advised for those under 2 years of age and the healthy / unhealthy range for children is very different.
in my personal view:
- too fat is when I don't feel comfortable, I'm quickly tired, sweat too much etc.
now with about 100 kg for 176 cm I'm obviously too fat on BMI scale, but I feel good enough to not be desperate to loose weight
other thing is, that many of my weight are muscles (yes, usually hidden "under the cover"), and my "construction" is really strong (I never had any broken bone etc., and "my construction" deals with carrying my weight on long distances)
I am at 180cm now at 105kg, was 115 few month ago. For sure i am much better feel now, wanna loose a bit under 100kg, but not hurry to do that in 1 month. it will not work well. All the time , almost every day i listen from my chinese colleagues that i have to get some kilos off. but wtf is my body their problem ? sometimes I go mad with them and "politely" explain to them about this. But, as WhiteBear said, my body construction is also one of the strong one, never broken bone (thanks god, 3x knock on wood ) Musscle are also playing hide and seek. I lost them during office work :( I wish i can work in a steel mill or forge ![]()
That's a strange question and I don't know what it has to do with China. How much fat are 'they' willing to accept in a mate? Who are they? The Chinese? You didn't write this when you first arrived here did you? You're a bit tubby and wanted to know if you'd be able to get laid, am I right? Well you needn't worry, i've seen a western guy in a bar who looked like he'd eaten his last girlfriend, and the one he was with was about a third his age. Long as you're financially viable you can always find some girl worse off than you to play house with.
its not the fat thing so much, but when a person becomes overly lazy, wants to take the taxi everywhere or over eats and doesn't exercise one bit yeah that bothers me
Oh lordi Lord....after several months when I finally bought two bottles of Coke and open echinacities, Bang!!!!!!!!!!! Question about fat.... ![]()
