It was puzzling when I saw all Chinese sitting by the window in the train or bus pulled the covers over ... even in the rainy weather. Students in the classrooms behaved the same. For difference to Han, Uyghur students in Xinjiang never bothered with window covers, not at sunny or at rainy weather.
It was because of prevention of the tan appeared on one skin even in cloudy weather. I guess, they consider themselves not-worthy when they have tan, buTT .... they all munch heavily on all vegi grown and sold by the tanned farmers.
My Chinese friend-o, she was into the skin colors. Your eyes are blue and such ... Her skin was always yellow color by her despite there were no differences between hers and my whitie skin color.

The three days is to give them time to contact trace and test whoever they came into contact with, as well as some mass testing around the city. If they have infected anyone else the city is on lockdown so hopefully those people won't be spreading it further and it can be contained, if they don't find any more cases presumably Auckland can open up again. It's the more contagious UK strain so nobody wants that getting loose in the community.
@icnif nah, I'm not in Auckland so it's pretty much business as usual for me.

Yeah, at first it looked like a start of a new country wide closing. I don't even follow closings in EU anymore. When I exit my house, I have: 1. money & ID; 2. plastic gloves&mask in me back pocket.
I walk on the street without the gear, just if you want to enter close spaces, everyone must have mask. In some stores (hospitals, pharmacies ...) they have special gunless security guard at the door.
New more contangious strain?? I remember, I was posting somewhere here few months ago that we're lucky 'cause mastard doesn't mutates, yet. Madness!

Yeah mate, it's happily mutating. You can now choose between the South African strain, the UK strain, I think there's a Brazilian strain and apparantly they just found another new one in the US too.
The UK version is a bit of a bastard... it's something like 50 % more infectious and they're starting to think more deadly too.
