I used Mobissimo search engine mostly, but after watching what the price of flights was doing on other dates I was expecting my flight to go down more , instead it hit $1380 and then went up.to $1600 and stayed there. Is there a better way to get flights from maybe within China? I flew Air Canada to Air China. I used Ctrip and watched flight prices go all over the place, I could not predict where the price would go.
is there a good search engine to get a flight from Canada to China???

It depends where are you coming to china from , mighty china air is cheap price but after takeoff when the first person (asian) used the toilet you wont be able to use the toilet more.

lucky for me I didn't have to, but when I got to Beijing and then found my first squat toilet, I had to wait until I got to Guilin and my hotel,, later found out ,,,,check the other stalls for a western toilet
From Australia you can just use a search engine and find lots of discount airfare sites. I then use them to find the cheapest available, take that quote to a travel agent chain called Flight Centre and thay price match, but you also get face to face service. Recently got a fare from Sydney-Shanghai-Shenyang return for $693 Aust $. I have tried the Chinese websites elong and ctrip but the fares are more expensive than those I can buy in Australia, so if I need to get a ticket for someone to travel from China to Australia I just do the research and purchase from the Australian agent by CCard while in China. As far as Chinese airlines are concerned I have flown with their 3 major airlines and found them all to be far cheaper on m y route than other carriers. Service is OK as well for the price.
