Q: How to get a finance job in Beijing?

Does anyone have experience how to get a finance job in Beijing? Any advice? It seems to me that no matter how many applications I sent that it's really hard to even be invited for an interview. I hold B.Sc. and have few years accounting experience. How about Big 4? Do they have 'high standard' when it comes to hiring?

I guess they rather hire in your home country and send you abroad afterwards. China is for Chinese intake. You would probably need an accountant's qualification already.

But let me know if you figure out a way.

ALL the international companies i have applied to, at least as recently as 2008, only hire in their head quarters. They do not hire locally, which is often frustrating for the local regional managers who often times see particular talent locally (speaks Chinese, has good connections) but that are completely irrelevant in the eyes of the HR people in central headquarters.

Thanks guys.. @Guilin, Isn't the most of headquarters in Beijing? I just don't know is it about me or they (big 4) really have big expectations.. ?! If someone works for big4, I could use some advice how to get their attention. Bsc and couple of years in accounting should be enough for entry level, isn't it?
