First I hope you get well soon! My humble advice is if you have persistent  fever as part of your symptoms, or your situation is deteriorating (e.g. having difficulty breathing, tiredness etc) you better see a doctor, because although we don't like medicine and going to hospitals which is not easy at all, particularly in China.  but it is important to prevent from getting complications which would be harder to deal with and more expensive to treat. But if your situation is very stable and the main problem is running nose and sore throat as you mention, my advice is you should keep yourself warm and well hydrated by drinking adequate amounts of liquids,  then drinking some thing warm like soup is advisable since the water steam from the soup can help kill the viruses that reside in the upper respiratory tract. People will always tell you different kinds of hot food to be good for treating cold, but the bottom line is eating or drinking anything warm and has water in it can effectively improve symptoms.

Allopathy is not good against cold... Full of side effects, which finally you will feel like is worse compared to cold....

Chinese traditional medicine... Seems has no side effects... But seems no effect on cold as well... You keep taking and cold goes at its usual speed... May be just giving mental confidence...

i really miss homeopathy... They are the best against cold... Yrs back... One of my friend took a one month dose and the promise was no cold for one year.. It worked well for him... They are the best against virus... Any place in china to get homeopathic medicine?

stay away from people. --  colds are caught by being  close to people who have colds.

But in China you could get a cod by breathing all the polluted air. Wear that little mask thing.

Your kissing days will be over but you will be cold free!

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
