Q: How high is living cost in shanghai?
here in wuhan we can buy a meal for around 6 RMB in college canteen ,how about shanghai ?
also how much does the public buses charge ,here its 2 rmb .

Not sure for buses, but I know the subway can go anywhere from 2 to 5 yuan for a trip, depending on how far away your station is.
As far as the cost of food, if you don't want something completely atrocious, I'd count 30 RMB for a decent meal anywhere.
Subway in Shanghai even if u go one stop u need to pay 3rmb, and u cannot go to anywhere with subway. Subway price is from 3-7rmb.
Bus is also 2rmb.
Cost of food let's say u only want to be feed full, 10rmb is enough. U have to live as a Chinese in Shanghai if u don't want to spend too much, otherwise Shanghai is as expensive as Hongkong, London, Tokyo or Munich.
When I was in Shanghai I could eat out for around 20RMB per day. If you eat like most foreigners do, it will cost a minimum of 30... Rent ranges for 400 to 40,000 per month.
Wuhan is much cheaper than Shanghai, assuming you are asking how cheaply one can exist.
Taxi rates are always a good indicator. 12 rmb to sit in a Shanghai taxi. Wuhan 7 rmb to sit down.
Guangzhou now has a 2 rmb gas surcharge while most cities still have 1 rmb gas surcharge
