Q: How long does it take to extend a visa?

How long does the whole process take? How long can I extend it for (L type tourist visa)? Also, where do I go? Just any PSB office? Where in Beijing?

you need to go to the PSB with all the required documents . if your documents are as par the regulations then they will accept it and you can go home .this doesn't need even 15 minutes .
you have to leave your passport there//
they will need a week to process it ..this is what happens in wuhan

L visas can be extended two times without having to exit China, however receiving more than 30 days each extension is dependant on your current financail abilities. The entry exit office of Beijing is where you need to go. It will take 5 working days. If the processing officer is there, he or she will ask a few questions about why you want to stay longer and make it clear not to work on said visa. After your 2 extensions you will be required to exit out side of China.
There are agencies that can help, but in all honesty, as much as they charge, it's cheaper to do a Hong Kong run. The changing of a visa is 9000 to 12000 rmb, it's cheaper and faster to return to your home country and apply.

A: One reason for not getting replies out of Chinese employers is Chinese
A:One reason for not getting replies out of Chinese employers is Chinese don't reply with polite note "Thank you for your application! Position has been filled already." same as western employers usually do. Once Chinese employer see they are unable to place you at the advertised position for this or that reason, they just move onto next one. Politeness is an English language treat ... You should act the same, i.e. never stop sending your CV until you don't land an invitation for the interview ... and never mind, you applied at brazillion position. Once, you'll sign the contract with first employer, it's very easy to cancel or disregard all further coming ones. Good luck! -- icnif77
