Q: How many are there now?
It seems to me there are an awful lot of "new"users on the site either asking inane questions or demonising everyone but China.
How many new 'mouthpieces' have you spotted recently?
Glad you asked. There's been an increase in anonymous posters, obviously some are new users not knowing if they should let people know who they are. Then there's one of them furiously posting questions without giving details. And finally there's one who's bent on insulting Sorrel. I'm surprised Admin hasn't spotted him yet with his colorful French. Is it because of the new school term that many new FTs joined? Or is it something else? Who knows? But I'm still not answering anonymous posts....

THread necromancy is an easy mistake to make, though. If you write up a question title, there are automatically links to similar Qs listed in a drop down. If you don't pay attention to the date, you may accidentally comment on a long-dead topic. Some resurrected Qs are weird, but others are interesting reads.

The newbees who post comments to 2+ year old questions drive me nuts! How bored to you have to be to go that deep into the questions?
New Peasant here. I have been lurking for about 5 years and only joined today after reading the OP from the moron who was the first foreign teacher to be fired in China.
Should I expect that old turkey, "who the f*#k are you?" from the old hands? Should I care? Probably not.

Usually, the trolls are self-revealing after some time because they become over-confident. Then, either they get caught red-handed doing an offence (multiple accounts for example) and get banned, or they just leave by themselves. No worries.
Also, I would not cry "wolf" just because someone is positive about life here, or have a chip on the shoulder with things not Chinese. As much as I *HATE* the censorship and the thought police going on in China, I would feel an hypocrite encouraging a party line in this forum.

It's the tone of them that bothers me...derogatory terms for Japanese, calling police "pigs" and generally "acting" like they're in a meltdown phase. If not wumaos, certainly they're giving the true wumaos ammunition to further slag foreigners in general.
And, they generally don't contribute any more than just posting a troll-bait question and then no longer participate in their own threads.

How many people have been on this forum for years and feel like they are chatting with their friends and do not like input from new people?
How hard is it to ignore or live and let live posters you don't like?
What else could we be doing right now?
